I get a status bar notification "Scripts partially allowed, 2/7 (, about:blank)". On I went with it and started with CNN news site. My idea was to check the "allow sites opened through bookmarks" temporarily just so I could click on the main sites I access and then turn it off (my bookmarks are filled with old links that I don't know if I can trust any longer). I'm excited to get this baby going and wanted to quickly build a whitelist from my bookmarks. Hi, new here with NoScript, just installed it. Keep in mind that I'm using a Beta (3.0b1). Now that I'm back to v1.1.8, the bookmark dropdown box at the right seems and works normally. I had to use the Bookmark Manager to file the bookmark where I wanted it. It had multiple lines for editing information for the bookmark and wouldn't let me select the folder I wanted to drop the bookmark into. I know that 3.0 has this dialog box for bookmarking, but I noticed that the box was different. I also noted that bookmarking a page brought up a strange dialog box (which is now to the right of the screen). I went back to v.1.1.8 and all's well again! I even tried it on a couple of other sites just to be sure. I tested it as mentioned above with no results. This would explain also the inconsistent result we had when trying to reproduce.Īfter seeing Alan Baxter's success, I was hopeful. OK, I think I found the culprit in a race condition which prevented allowed external scripts from being loaded at first shot if interleaved with forbidden scripts.
